Evaluations

Evaluations and Feedback – September 2026 Academy Yorkshire

I didn’t know what to expect but pleased to be able to attend the course and wasn’t disappointed. The Topic I found most useful was a reminder of flesh and the Spirit at war. I rate the usefulness of this course in my Christian life as a 10. The sessions were well paced and flowed evenly but there was a lot to take in. Pastor answered all the question and queries which assisted my understanding, and I would rate this as a 10.

As a result of attending the Academy I want to refresh my testimony in all aspects of my ministry. I have enjoyed the week at the Academy, whilst my brain is full it’s worth the time spent. Thanks to all for your hard work.

Hilary Dean – Yorkshire

The sessions were very enlightening and spiritually refreshing. I found Day 4 most useful, what I absorbed was life transforming in Christ. Illustrations and relevant examples were given to explain key points.

Practise what I have been taught, whilst on this journey with the spirit of Christ.

Greg Andre – Yorkshire

The sessions matched expectations both biblically and practically. Bible Truths backed up by great experience, but not just the sessions, everything is backed up by the people. I found the topic on The Gospel the most useful and becoming formed into the likeness of Christ – Living the Jesus life is the gospel. If you don’t kill the sine, the sin will kill you.

Overall, I would rate the usefulness, the illustrations, the session pace/flow, information, handouts and homework given as a 10.

Just being away for a week to be among great people – Jesus people, servants – it’s been such a privilege.

As a result of attending the Academy I can say it’s been a great time of renewal, refreshing and reminders – this is vital both in my personal life and in my life in the Church. To be focused on what is important.

Reverend Mike Smith – Chesterfield

I found the sessions more powerful this time. I particularly found the topic on the mind helped my understanding, how we think, how the flesh is so present in our life.

Overall, I would rate the usefulness, the illustrations, the session pace/flow, information, handouts and homework given as a 10.

My personal expectations were met, being in the bible, learning more from it and understanding the Gospel more. I intend to live the life, seeking His will. Apply more of His spirit in me. Loved every minute of it, loved serving, it was amazing. I found the Academy outstanding, enjoyed and learning about myself, the mind, How God uses us to live in us. Powerful to live it. I would highly recommend the Academy.

Susan Brett – Yorkshire

I felt so blessed with the teaching of the word from Pastor James. The atmosphere all week was amazing. I felt all of the topics were useful. I would rate it as a 100 n in terms of usefulness, the illustrations, the session pace/flow, information, handouts and homework.

My personal expectations were to get to know more and more about Jesus and how he died on the cross for all our sins. They have all been met by me going home a stronger woman of God.

I plan to share Gods word to others and step out in Faith more. Read Gods word more too, like it says in Isaiah 41 v 10 Fear Not for I am with you. Father is with us every day. My experience at the Academy has made me see things more differently. I can tell others what Christ is doing in my today, he never leaves me and I don’t to fear as I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Emma Dunne – Clayton

All the sessions were really uplifting – truly good teaching. Some challenging and presented with a grateful and loving heart. All the topics were useful in every way.

I would rate the usefulness of the course as a 10 and just what I needed to live my Christian life with my God and Saviour.

My personal expectations were met and attending this Academy is truly worth it. Teaching, friendships with other Christians – all met. I intend to carry on listening, learning from what has been taught, so as to share it with others around me in my Church as to encourage them.

My time at the Academy has been truly fulfilling for my life and for me to become more like Jesus Christ.

My experience has been good, with the teaching being superb and fellowship with my fellow Christian family. Mealtimes full of laughter and love for one another, helping each other too in serving.

Vera Dunne – Clayton

The sessions 100% matched my expectations. Learning that there is more than 1 type of Christian has been most helpful. I enjoyed learning about baptism and that the water is like a grave.

Overall, I would rate the usefulness, the illustrations, the session pace/flow, information, handouts and homework given as a 10.

I have had my eyes opened wide, wide and wide. As a result of attending I want to be more alert with people and want more of the Lord and less TV. I intend to listen to worship music more.

This was my first time at the Academy, and I learned a lot about being a Christian, it opened my eyes. I would recommend others do this course. I thank Pastor James for the opportunity to do the course.

Mandy Brownett – Clayton

The sessions were amazing and matched my expectations. I found all the topics very good and were all useful.

Overall, I would rate the usefulness, the illustrations, the session pace/flow, information, handouts and homework given as a 10.

My intention is to put all the learning to use and with the help of the Holy Spirit which lives in me and let him worth through me.

It has been great to be in the word of God, it’s a blessing. Every time I have attended I seem to understand a bit more. God is faithful, His word, promises and teaching has been great, and I realise how much more we need to be in the word of God to grow. His words help me to grow and it’s always good when you see something new in the word.

Claudia Garnett – Yorkshire

The sessions not only met but exceeded my expectations. The topics I found most useful were “Being with Jesus but not knowing Him” and The Gospel (What it is).

Overall, I would rate the usefulness, the illustrations, the session pace/flow, information, handouts and homework given as a 10.

My personal expectations were to know more about Christ and Him alone. This expectation was surpassed. As a result of attending the Academy I will be intentional about my life as “Christ’s letter” and to minister with my life and not just my mouth.

A time well spent undergoing this training. Time was suspended and compressed for me. In summary, my attributes as Servant Steward took a different turn for good.

Commitment Section: Students to commit to not just being hearers but doers of the word.
